Solar Programs for the U.S.A.
Fun Fact: Utility companies will keep going up in price because they're losing clients to the sun.
Red Flags: You will see commercials, advertisements on social media, phone calls, and door knockers promoting a free solar system for you. There is no such thing as a government solar program for free!

Cash

The ownership program is when you pay cash for your panels and receive full warranties. You will not have a solar bill because your system is paid off! You can keep the 30 % tax credit!

If you do not have the cash, do not worry, we have 4 different banks to help you with the ownership program and 7 different banks to help you with the P.P.A. lease-to-own program. This means with no money out of pocket you can go solar!

Loan

The Ownership Program is when you take out a loan with one of the banks, Enfin, Goodleap, Concert or Mosaic. 650+ credit score is required. This includes a fixed rate as long you give back the 30% tax credit to the bank, then your monthly price will remain the same. If you keep that tax credit, your monthly cost will go up 1 time after the 18th month. The loan program includes full warranties.

Lease

P.P.A. Lease-to-Own requires no cash down and no loan, but a 650+ credit score is needed to work with the following banks that support lease: IGS, Lightreach, Everbright, Sunrun, (Goodleap Mass only), and (Enfin Mass only).

We do have another Lease-to-Own company, PosiGen., which requires no cash down, no loan, & NO CREDIT CHECK!

With Lease-to-Own, you will not receive a tax credit from the federal government because you do not own the system. A 2.9% increase each year will apply to your monthly bill. All Lease-to-Own options include full warranties.

Also, IGS is the only lease company that I can provide a zero-annual increase for, but the client needs to have at least 1 referral to provide me if they want the Zero increase!

Utility

The average increase in America for a utility company is 3.2% per year nationwide. You will never build equity on your house or have a chance to pay off your electricity by staying with the grid. New England has it bad because our rising rates are 11.8% each year due to 60% of all of New England's power coming from Canada. We have the oldest grid in the U.S.A.

Solar for your Business

SunStone is the bank that helps me to help business owners to go solar. There are also 3 ways to go solar for your business.

1. You can pay cash for your system and eliminate any solar bills & electric bills. Keep all the tax credits and benefits that come with the incentives to go solar for your business.

2. You can take out a loan for your solar system. The minimum is $50,000 up to 2 million dollars if you own a very large business. They only offer 5 to 20-year terms.

3. You can lease the system with the Sunstone Bank PPA program, but they require using
50,000- 5 million kWh per year.

Timeline to Complete your Solar System

Welcome Stage: I come to the house, you have your electric bill ready, I educate you on solar, sign the paperwork, and you will get copies of everything from design to agreement.
Site Audit Inspection: The technician will come to the house to check the roof, attic rafters, electrical panel, outside meter, and sun exposure. It takes 1 to 2 hours tops.
Plans for the Engineer: We are prepping to give the engineer all the paperwork from the design to the inspection so he can stamp it which will allow us to start collecting permits.
Scope of Work: Before we collect permits, this is the stage when you approve your final design.
Pulling Permits: We are pulling permits from the building department in your town for building permits and electrical permits.
Interconnections Application: When we start pulling permits, we also start the application for interconnections to get your net metering account approved. Once you are approved, they will email the company and client to approve the installation.
Solar Installation: Installation takes 1 to 2 days depending on the panel count. Any installation with over 40 panels can take up to a 2-day install. For anything under 40 panels, the company will be there between 8 am and 10 am on arrival and will be done before 3-4 pm.
City Inspection: Once the installation is complete, we schedule a time for the city inspector to come to the house with one of our electricians and we walk the city inspector through the installation and sign off the C.O.C which is Certification of Compliance. This being signed, means the client passed inspection and it is time for the utility company to come to the house and insert the Net Meter.
P.T.O.: This stage is when the Net Meter is installed and the utility company sends the solar company a letter informing us the meter was installed and the client has permission to operate.
Completed: Now your system is completed! It took 2 to 3 months, but now you are producing your own power! Ps I put pictures below so you can visually see the 10 steps.

Net Metering Services

Net metering requires electric distribution companies to credit power produced by renewable energy systems installed behind a customer meter. Net Metering allows customers with eligible renewable energy systems to receive bill credits for all power generated up to 125 percent of the on-site consumption during a billing period. To participate in net metering, a renewable energy system must be sited on the customer’s premises. Eligible customer-sited net metering systems must be sized to meet on-site loads, based on a three-year average of electricity consumption at the property.
